Why?

Everyone enjoys fresh flowers, but when the flower industry contributes to the equivalent of 78,000 cars driven for one year in CO2 in the US alone, we have to wonder… is there a way to make this industry more sustainable?

Problem Areas

  • Abundant packaging

  • Flower transportation

  • Post-use floral waste

How Might We…

create circularity within the flower industry at minimal cost to the environment and
end-user?

Developing Khloris, The Process

Khloris Design Attitude

We Interviewed 30 People, here’s what we learned

  • 1 — People care about sustainability of business 7 / 10 on average.

  • 2 — All interviewees expressed that they want their flowers to be delivered within 1-2 days, preferably on the same day.

  • 3 — 70% people prefer dead flowers to be picked up, and 30% prefer to drop off at a designated location.

  • 4 — All interviewees thought our pricing is reasonable and would purchase our product.

  • 5 — 30% prefer to purchase on an App, 40% prefer website, and 30% prefer to have both options available.

Minimal Viable Product

We collect environmentally responsibly grown flowers from local farmers, and sell these flowers via our e-commerce platform (both website, and app) with a fixed rate in sustainable packaging to later be collected and repurposed.
