Abstract

How has electronic commerce (e-commerce) changed into mobile commerce (m-commerce), and what does the future look like for mobile commerce? I aim to address this question by looking at various factors that have caused this shift. These factors include technological advancements, new social media features, the growth of platforms, and the Covid-19 pandemic. The research primarily focuses on the United States market as they are one of the leaders in charge of this shift. Understanding that the beauty of e-commerce and m-commerce is its ability to transcend past locations, there are a few moments where we take a look at a broader, worldwide perspective. The research paper explains why we are seeing this shift and future theories on what could be next.
